Born on Feb 16, 1976, Dave first picked up the guitar at age 12. The music of Led Zeppelin and Randy Rhoads were among his first influences. The guitar playing and composition on these albums were a important motivation for him to become a better guitar player as well as a better musician.

After playing in many rock and blues groups, Dave became bored with the simpler harmonic and rhythmic structures involved in the music he was playing. That was when he started studying at The Febbraio School Of Music in Mt. Vernon New York. He also used his summers off from high school to study theory, composition, and improvisation at the National Guitar Summer Workshop in Connecticut.

After high school he spent some time at Suny Purchase, Berklee College Of Music and eventually received his bachelors degree in jazz improvisation from Five Towns College Of Music. At Five Towns he was fortunate enough to study with Joe Carbone, Joe Monk, Bill Farrish and Greg Bobulinski. These teachers built a great foundation for Dave's lifelong study of music. After college, Dave began studies with Jack Wilkins, Jay Azzolina, and Chris Morrison.

Since then Dave has appeared on WVOX radio as a featured artist twice. He also appeared on The Classic American Guitar Show with Jack Wilkins and Vinny D'arrigo. In 2002, he released his first album with his own group entitled "The Kain Mutiny". In 2005, he released his second album entitled "Citizen Kain". Both albums consist of original jazz compositions composed by Dave. This group has been performing at clubs throughout the tri-state area including The C Note, Isabel's Cafe, and The Village Lantern.

Dave is currently a faculty member at the Westchester School of Music. He also teaches privately and is available for guitar instruction.
